Welcome!
I am a PhD researcher at the University of Kent, investigating why people fall for phishing emails. My research takes an interdisciplinary approach, examining the psychological, demographic, behavioural, and environmental factors that drive susceptibility to phishing attacks โ and evaluating the effectiveness of organisational controls in reducing that risk.
Alongside my research, I work in industry as Head of Information Security and Data Protection Officer at Bensons for Beds, Data Protection Controller at Poundland & Dealz, and Data Protection Officer at Medway Asthma Self Help. This practical grounding shapes my research focus: I am particularly interested in understanding how real-world organisational environments โ rather than the educational settings that dominate existing research โ influence phishing susceptibility.
I am open to research collaboration, and welcome contact from practitioners and academics working at the intersection of cybersecurity, human behaviour, and data protection. Please get in touch.
